Privacy Policy
YBG Staffing LLC ("YBG Staffing," "we," "us") is an event staffing company. We supply bartenders, servers, and event crews. This policy explains what information we collect through our account site at hire.ybgstaffing.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Information you give us when you create or update an account:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number (optional)
- Your account type: client (hiring event staff) or staff (looking for event work)
- A password, if you sign up with email. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider, Supabase, and stored only in hashed form. We never see or store your password in plain text.
Information from Google, if you choose "Continue with Google":
When you sign in with Google, Google shares your basic profile with us: your name, email address, and profile picture. We request only these basic profile permissions. We do not get access to your Gmail, contacts, calendar, files, or any other Google data.

Information staff give us when they apply and work with us:
- Profile and application details: preferred and legal name, date of birth, gender, home address, work authorization, transportation, skills, languages, work experience, and social media links you choose to add
- Documents and photos you upload, such as a headshot, resume, driver's license, or photo ID. These are stored privately and are visible only to you and to YBG administrators. Each time an administrator opens one, the view is logged.
- Your typed electronic signature, and the date and time you agree to the travel acknowledgment, the attendance and cancellation policy, and the Staff Terms
- Shift records: accepted and cancelled shifts, cancellation times, attendance notes, clock-in, break and clock-out times, and timesheets
- Messages you send to YBG through the portal or the app
Location during shifts (staff only):
- When you clock in, start or end a break, or clock out, we record your device's location (latitude, longitude and accuracy) along with the server time, to confirm that you are at the event and to flag entries made away from the venue.
- While you are clocked in and the app is open on your device, the app may also record your location every few minutes. We never collect your location when you are not clocked in to a shift, and the app does not use background location.
- Your location is used only for attendance, timesheets and payroll, and for your safety at events. It is visible only to you and to YBG administrators, never to clients. We keep shift location records for [BRIAN TO CONFIRM: retention period, e.g. 3 years for payroll records].
- You can turn off location access in your device settings at any time. If you do, you can still clock in, but the entry will be flagged for review.
Cookies and browser storage
We use only what is needed to keep you signed in and keep the site working. This means small pieces of data stored in your browser (local storage, session storage, or essential cookies) that hold your sign-in session. If you uncheck "Keep me signed in," your session is kept only for the current browser tab.
We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not show ads on this site.
How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Create, secure, and manage your account
- Handle event staffing bookings and requests
- Schedule event staff and shifts
- Communicate with you about your account, bookings, shifts, and our services
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Service providers
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the site. They process information only to provide their services to us:
- Supabase: database hosting and account sign-in (authentication)
- Netlify: hosting for this website
- Google: "Continue with Google" sign-in, if you choose to use it
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users, our staff, or the public.
Google user data
YBG Staffing's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We use the information we receive from Google only to create and sign in to your YBG Staffing account and to show your name and contact details in your account. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell it.
How long we keep your information
We keep your account information for as long as your account is open and as needed to provide our services, meet legal or accounting obligations, and resolve disputes. When it is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.
Deleting your account or data
You can update your name and phone number at any time on your account page. To delete your account or ask us to delete or correct your information, email us at info@ybgstaffing.com from the email address on your account. We will confirm when your request has been completed.
If you signed in with Google, you can also remove YBG Staffing's access at any time from your Google Account's security settings.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information. These include encrypted (HTTPS) connections, hashed passwords, and access controls that let each person see only their own account data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
This site is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date above. If the changes are significant, we may also let you know by email.
